The Walking Dead is an ongoing black-and-white American comic book series written by Robert Kirkman. It chronicles the travels of Rick Grimes, his family and other survivors of a zombie apocalypse.
First issued in 2003 by publisher Image Comics, the comic was created Kirkman and artist Tony Moore (who was later replaced by Charlie Adlard from issue #7 onward, though Moore continued to do the covers through issue #24.)
I've chose to include The Walking Dead in my research as it's an on-going comic book that is set in a post-apocalyptic setting. It focuses on the relationships between the survivors rather than the 'walkers' themselves, but there are some interesting personalities that have inspired me with my character development, as well as the surrounding environment.
